Information You Must Disclose

  • All-wheel or four-wheel drive, and whether the transmission can be put in neutral.
  • Whether keys are available.
  • Lowered suspension, body kits, oversized tires or reduced clearance.
  • Accident damage, missing wheels, seized brakes or a locked steering column.
  • Electric or hybrid drivetrain and any battery damage, smoke or thermal event.
  • Cargo, trailers, hazardous materials or an oversized load.
  • Low-clearance parking structures at either end of the trip.

Vehicle Release Authority

You confirm you are the registered owner, an authorised operator, or acting with the owner's permission. Drivers may request identification or proof of authority and may decline the job if authority cannot be established.

Winching, Recovery and Extra Work

  • Recovery from ditches, snow, mud or off-road positions is billed separately from standard towing.
  • Extended waiting time on scene may be billed after a reasonable grace period.
  • Additional stops added during a job are billed per stop plus distance.
  • After-hours, storm and holiday surcharges may apply.

Personal Belongings

Remove valuables, documents, medication and electronics before transport. TrueNorth is not responsible for personal property left in a vehicle unless loss results directly from our negligence.

Storage and Impound

  • Vehicles left at a TrueNorth or partner yard may accrue daily storage charges.
  • Storage charges begin the day after arrival.
  • Release requires proof of ownership or authority and settlement of outstanding charges.
  • Unclaimed vehicles may be disposed of under applicable provincial law after required notice.

Right to Refuse Service

  • Conditions at the scene are unsafe for the driver, the customer or the public.
  • The vehicle cannot be safely secured with available equipment.
  • Undeclared hazardous materials are present.
  • Authority to release the vehicle cannot be established.
  • A person on scene is abusive, threatening or impaired in a way that creates risk.

Estimated Arrival Times

ETAs on the tracking page are calculated from live routing data and are estimates only. Weather, traffic, collisions and higher-priority emergencies can change them. We update the tracking page as conditions change.
